Middle School Days of Christmas Calendar
Middle school students were able to disguise a turkey for the November bulletin board. All classes voted and our top four turkeys were: McKinley - Trump turkey Willow - the Lorax Slayde - Spiderman Soyer - Penguin We're proud of all of our students who disguised a turkey and contributed to our bulletin board.
Thank you so much to those of you who have donated items to our food drive. If you still would like to donate, you have two more days to bring items to the school. Thank you for making our food drive a success!
On Friday, November 22, we will be running two buses. Holly and Brad will be driving Susan's route so there may be delays getting students to school and home. We are also meeting in our House Groups on Friday so all students will be dismissed from the Elementary School beginning at 1:45 for car riders and bus riders will depart shortly after that.

The Elementary School will go watch "Treasure Island" at MVTHS at 9:30 on Friday, November 15.
We are excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Food Drive to support Susan’s Song. This month in our House Groups we are discussing Citizenship and what it means. One way to show good citizenship is by giving back to your community. The students will have a friendly competition between their House Groups to see which group can collect the most items. The winning House Group will receive a prize. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to come together and make a positive impact in our community.

Dates: November 6 - November 21, 2024
Location: Send food items with your child to school or drop off food to the office at either school.

Our Veterans Program is Friday, November 8 at 1:00 pm at the Elementary School. Everyone is invited to attend. All students will be dismissed from the Elementary School at the conclusion of the program.
The Elementary School has been told that we will lose power to the school this afternoon for a short time. You will not be able to call the Elementary School during this time, but you can leave a message with the Middle School and they will make sure we receive it.

Our Book Fair will be open this week for students to shop. It will also be open during Parent Teacher Conferences tonight at the Elementary School for anyone to shop.
A reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are Monday, October 21 from 3:15 to 6:30 and Monday, October 28 from 3:15 to 6:30. Please reach out to your child's teacher or the school to schedule an appointment if you haven't done so already.
Shelby Conner will be running in the State Cross Country meet tomorrow, Saturday, Oct 19, at 10:00 am at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Come out and cheer her on. Good luck Shelby!!
