If you have been watching the weather forecast, you are aware of the possibility of inclement weather later in the week. Please take a few moments and check to see that you have your child's Emergency/Snow Day packet. These were sent home in September/October and were to be kept in a safe place. If you are unable to locate your child's packet, please let his/her teacher know ASAP. Thank you and stay safe!
If you want your child to participate in Dental Safari on Friday, February 4, please return a completed form by tomorrow. If your child is in grades Kindergarten, 2nd, or 6th, Dental Safari will meet the dental exam requirement for the year.
Tomorrow will be Spirit Day at Spring Garden. Our boys basketball team will play Bluford tomorrow night at 7:00 at Bluford for the Regional Championship. Go Hawks!!
Tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, January 20, Mr. Brad will be driving both his and Ms. Gentry's route in the afternoon. Please expect delays in your child getting home. If you would rather pick your child up, please notify the office by 2:00 tomorrow. This will only be for tomorrow afternoon.
Due to lack of players from Covid protocols, the peewee games for Saturday, January 15, against Waltonville have been cancelled.
Due to a bus issue, Holly will be driving both hers and Brad’s route this morning just like we have done in the past when we’ve only had two routes.
Due to unexpected circumstances, there will not be student council at the Middle School before or after school.
Bowling tryouts will be Wednesday, Jan 5th from 6 to 8 pm at Nubowl in Mt Vernon. This will be for anyone who would like to try out in 5th thru 8th grades. We will let you know when practices will start that night. Parents are responsible for getting their child to and from practices and matches. If you have any questions please reach out to Mrs. Donny at the middle school.

Tomorrow is our Christmas Program at 1:30. Remember each family will have 3 tickets and masks will be required. At the conclusion of the program, all students will be dismissed from the Middle School. So once again there will be no pick ups at the Elementary Building. For those who can't attend, the program will be livestreamed on our school's Facebook page. We hope you enjoy the program.
The Girl's Basketball Game for tonight Tuesday, Dec 7 against Grand Prairie has been cancelled and will be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Just a reminder that school picture makeup day is tomorrow for both the elementary and middle schools. For the middle school, boys basketball, girls basketball, and cheer pictures will also be taken tomorrow. Please bring all pieces of your uniform. Those having pictures taken will receive a proof in a few weeks to order from.
We will also run two bus routes again on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon we will rehearse for the Christmas Program at the Middle School. So all students will be dismissed from the Middle School. Car riders will be dismissed after the buses have left the Middle School. To avoid being stopped on 37, you can pull in front of the school from the interstate side of Tamaroa.
Just a reminder that tomorrow and Wednesday we will only have two buses running so Holly will run Brad's route first and then run her route, so her route will be running later than usual. Ms. Gentry will run her normal route.
Next week is going to be a busy week at Spring Garden Grade School.
On Monday, Santa's Cottage will be open all day at both buildings and for a short time Tuesday morning for anyone who forgets to bring money on Monday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday next week we will be running only two bus routes once again like we have in the past. IF you know anyone who would be interested being a sub bus driver, please have them call the school.

Elementary School lunch change for Tuesday, November 30. The menu will be Riblet Sandwich, Green Beans, and Fruit.
Middle School Scholar Bowl practices are Tuesday mornings at 7:45.
Middle School Newspaper meets at 7:45 on Thursday mornings.
Middle School Student Council meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 7:30-8:15 or 3:00-3:45.

We are happy to announce that all three bus routes will be running beginning this afternoon, Thursday, November 18. Ms. Gentry will run her regular route. Mr. Brad Ryan will run his regular route that he had at the beginning of the year. Ms. Holly Payne will be running Mr. JD's route. Please be aware that your child may arrive home earlier than they have been from Mr. Brad's bus. Please phone the school with any questions. All three routes will run in the morning and from here on out. Thank you for your patience and understanding during the past couple of months.
Tomorrow, Thursday, November 18, will be the last day of the Book Fair at the elementary building. So if your child is wanting to purchase books, tomorrow will be the last day to do so.
