
Wednesday the 6th grade class returned to the elementary school and played games with K-4. They had a blast playing life-size Shoots and Ladders and Candy Land!!

Yesterday Ms. Ruez took the 6th grade class to the Elementary School to read with students! Everyone had a great time reading with a buddy!!











As part of the required data collection for the 2025 Illinois School Report Card, Spring Garden Schools will be administering the 5 Essentials Survey to district students and staff members. District parents also have an opportunity to complete the survey, and we encourage you to do so. Besides providing feedback to the district, survey results also are used by ISBE, along with other data, to help determine a school's designation score (Exemplary, Commendable, etc). The family of Jennifer Johnson is having a Celebration of Life event in her memory on Wednesday, March 19 from 6-9pm at Spring Garden Elementary School. A Celebration of Life ceremony will occur at 7:00.

Track tryouts will be on Monday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 18 right after school each day until 4:15pm at the Elementary School for any student in 5th - 8th grades who is interested in trying out.

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 13, we will be meeting in House Groups at the Elementary School so everyone will be dismissed from the Elementary School beginning with car riders at 2:45. Kindergarten started their unit on fairy tales by reading different versions of The Three Little Pigs. They used “The Big Bad Blow Dryer” to see which items could be moved by the force of it. Lighter items, like feathers, cotton balls, and seashells could be moved by the force of the blow dryer. Heavier items like shoes, slippers, and wooden blocks could not be moved. What a fun time!
